Our Story

We are a couple of homebrewers in the US. Cameraman Stan started in 2005 after I bought him a beer kit. In 2014 Stan put homebrewing on the back burner, when he decided to help his brother the grower at a local farmers market on the weekends - leaving him little to no time to brew. This left me surrounded by lonely beer equipment and thirsty friends and neighbors asking “Hey, do you guys still make beer?” That’s when I picked up the brew paddle…
Now, I’m not an engineer or scientist; but I have been baking and cooking (in that order) since I was a kid - my approach to fermenting is completely culinary. It wasn’t long after I started brewing that I started questioning the processes, procedures, and started playing with ingredients, yeast strains and temps. We started sharing my test results with our local homebrew club - The Beer Barons Of Milwaukee, that’s when I decided to share our results with you. I once heard someone say, “that brewing is an investment of time and money” - honestly, you can 2 x and 3 x that when you are testing things out.
We share our test results, lessons learned and quick tips with you on this website and our YouTube Channel Lady Fermenter. We are members of the AHA - American Homebrewers Association, AMM America Mead Makers and active with the BJCP Beer Judging Certification Program; Stan as a Steward and me as a Mead and Cider judge, We hope to inspire you to think differently - test things out and ABOVE ALL have FUN Fermenting!
Thanks a Pint for visiting,
